Life Tools: A guide to defining your
STANDARDS, BOUNDARIES, and PRINCIPLES
STANDARDS
That which
we hold ourselves to
How you have
chosen to behave on a consistent basis
Knowing what
I want my behavior to be
This is how
you "usually" behave; there are sometimes exceptions
to standards, such as when you may be late although your standard
IS being on time.
BOUNDARIES
What we hold
others to
What others
cannot do to us
An imaginary
line of protection that you draw around you
Boundaries
help us define who we are
Prevent us from attracting that into our life we don't want, such
as working during personal time or doing work that isn't in alignment
with our values, or even worse, compromises our integrity.
PRINCIPLES
What we stand
for in our work and in our life
Those beliefs
we have adopted as our core truths - the foundation of how we
show up in the world
The messages
we have for the world or weave into our work so that we may bring
our best self to the world
Your personal
law or doctrine - that by which you live
The fundamentals
that support all that you do and the way you show up in the world
